LoggerMatic Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 13, 2026

This privacy policy describes how LoggerMatic ("the App"), developed by Doette Inc., collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our fitness tracking application for iOS and watchOS.

Data Collection

LoggerMatic collects and accesses the following information during workouts:

  • Workout performance metrics — speed, cadence, power (watts), distance, resistance, incline, pace, force, energy expenditure (kcal), and elapsed time, collected from Bluetooth FTMS fitness machines.
  • Heart rate — from Bluetooth fitness machine sensors or Apple Watch via HealthKit.
  • Active energy — read from Apple Health to estimate metabolic power during workouts.
  • GPS location — latitude and longitude collected during outdoor (GPS) workouts for route tracking and distance calculation.
  • Strava account information — OAuth access token obtained when the user chooses to connect their Strava account. The App requests only the activity:write scope (permission to upload activities). No personal profile data is accessed from Strava.

Data Storage — On-Device Only

  • All workout data is stored locally on the user's device as JSON files in the app's documents directory.
  • Strava OAuth tokens are stored in UserDefaults on the device.
  • On Apple Watch, workout data is stored independently in the watch's local documents directory.
  • Watch-to-phone sync uses Apple's WatchConnectivity framework (on-device, no external servers).
  • No user data is transmitted to or stored on Doette Inc. servers, except for the Strava OAuth token exchange which passes through loggermatic.com as a relay (the token is not stored server-side).

Third-Party Data Sharing

  • Strava: When the user explicitly uploads a workout, the App sends a FIT file to Strava containing workout metrics (timestamps, speed, cadence, power, heart rate, distance, GPS coordinates). The user initiates each upload. Strava's own privacy policy governs data once uploaded.
  • Apple HealthKit: The App reads heart rate and active energy from HealthKit and can write workout sessions to Health. HealthKit data is never sent to external servers or third parties.
  • No other third-party data sharing. There are no analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, crash reporters, or tracking libraries in the App. User data is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or data brokers.

Device Permissions Used

PermissionPurpose
BluetoothConnect to FTMS fitness machines to read workout data
HealthKit (read)Read heart rate and active energy for display and metabolic power estimation
HealthKit (write)Save workout sessions to Apple Health
Location (when in use)Track GPS route and distance during outdoor workouts

Data Deletion

  • Users can delete individual workouts from the App at any time.
  • Users can disconnect their Strava account from within the App, which removes the stored OAuth token.
  • Users can revoke the App's access to their Strava account via Strava settings.
  • Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.
  • HealthKit and location permissions can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings.
